Show up for climate justice on 23 September at Hong Lim Park!
For many in Singapore and Southeast Asia, the effects of living in the climate crisis are already a violent reality through floods, heatwaves, food insecurity, more destructive storms, and rising sea levels. While the government has set a target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, Singapore’s efforts are still regarded as critically insufficient.
We need to do so much more to ensure a liveable future for our children and all life on Earth. SG Climate Rally is calling for greater transparency and inclusivity on our path to net-zero emissions by 2050. We need to urgently accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels, protect our ecosystems, and empower our people!
Join us to make a stand, and call for bolder action against the climate crisis:
Date: 23 September, Saturday
Time: 3 – 7 pm
Location: Hong Lim Park
RSVP now via Facebook or by joining our Telegram channel!
Because every voice counts, we need your help to spread the word far and wide – share this invitation with your family, friends, and communities, and bring them to the Rally. The greater our numbers at Hong Lim Park, the more powerful our collective voice becomes in calling for meaningful and systemic change. This is an inclusive and family-friendly event that will comply with legal guidelines, featuring a child-focused reading space, wheelchair-accessible routes, Singapore Sign Language interpretation, first-aid support, and more.
Beyond showing up, here’s how you can get more involved:
Volunteer with us for the Rally, to help with everything from crowd control to activity facilitation to translation! Registration closes 3 Sep (Sun).
Support our fundraising efforts to cover the costs of the Rally! As a fully volunteer-run grassroots movement, we depend entirely on crowd funding to meet costs such as tentage, equipment rental, accessibility services, and logistics. We are still far from meeting our goal, so every little bit helps!
In the next 4 weeks, we will roll out more information such as what exactly to expect at the Rally, who our incredible and inspirational speakers are, and the policy changes that the Rally is calling for. Stay tuned by visiting our website and following us on Instagram!
